About Us

Hutchison Rodway was founded 1989 by Steve Taylor.   Having previously acted as an insurance underwriter, Steve took the opportunity to provide an increased level of service in the insurance market.   Located on the North Shore of Auckland, the past 20 years has seen the firm build a strong base of experienced staff and a variety of commercial clients.  Hutchison Rodway's clients range from small retail businesses to large national infrastructure enterprises.  Armed with Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker's, Hutchison Rodway develops risk and insurance programs that are specifically designed for the client.  The firm has a 'custom made' approach to insurance not a 'one size fits all' order taking attitude. 

Hutchison Rodway has expanded from its origin in Auckland.  The establishment of the Hamilton Branch in 2008 was a great strategic and geographical move for the firm.  With clients throughout New Zealand Hutchison Rodway continues to provide exceptional service and effective insurance advice.

Hutchison Rodway is a founding member of the Allied Insurance Group.  The Allied Insurance Group is a co-operative of 26 independently owned insurance brokers from throughout New Zealand.  Collectively the group is able to increase their buying power, knowledge and service levels to their customers.
